Attackers increasingly bypass technical controls by simply calling an employee — or the help desk itself — and impersonating IT support, a coworker, or a vendor. With a convincing voice, a spoofed caller ID, and, more and more, AI-generated audio and deepfakes, they pressure their target into resetting a password, approving a login, or reading back a one-time code. Safe Call flips the interaction around. How it works

• The employee who received the call opens Safe Call and is shown a 6-digit rotating code to read aloud to the caller. Because the code refreshes every 30 seconds and expires within a minute or two, it must be spoken live during the call — it cannot be screenshotted or reused.
• The caller enters the code to link the two devices, then scans a QR code to run Nametag identity verification on their phone.
• When verification completes, both the employee and the caller see the outcome — a verified identity, including the caller’s name, photo, and the checks that passed, or a clear “could not verify” result.

Safe Call runs entirely in the browser with nothing to install, and is hosted on a company’s existing Nametag recovery microsite. Every session — started, verified, failed, or expired — is written to the organization’s Nametag audit log, giving security teams full visibility into verification activity.
