Nametag Integration for TalentLyft
Add identity verification to your TalentLyft hiring pipeline and record a pass/fail Grade on the candidate card.
Audience: TalentLyft administrators and recruiters setting up and running the Nametag Integration for TalentLyft.
Overview
The Nametag Integration for TalentLyft adds identity verification to your hiring pipeline. When a recruiter orders a Nametag Identity Verification assessment on a candidate — or a candidate reaches a configured pipeline stage — the candidate completes a government-ID + liveness check via a branded Nametag link, and a pass/fail Grade lands on the candidate card in TalentLyft.
No personal data (PII) is ever written into TalentLyft. Only the verified pass/fail signal, a score, a short summary, and a link to the Nametag verification record are sent back.
Before you begin
- Your Nametag organization must have the TalentLyft integration enabled. If you don’t see it under Add Integration, contact Nametag.
- Have your TalentLyft Access Token ready. Generate it in TalentLyft → Integrations. Nametag uses it to receive stage-change webhooks and write results back.
- You never enter a Nametag key into the Nametag Console — you are already signed in to Nametag. The Connect step authorizes the TalentLyft side only.
Set up the integration
-
In the Nametag Console, open your environment → Integrations → Add Integration → TalentLyft.
-
Connect TalentLyft. Paste your TalentLyft Access Token.
-
Scope / coverage. Choose which jobs/pipelines the verification applies to.
-
Trigger. Choose how verification starts:
- A manual recruiter-initiated assessment order (default), and/or
- An automatic stage trigger (pick the pipeline stage).
Choose the grade mapping (Three-way or Binary). A verified candidate is recorded as Superior; any failed or rejected verification is recorded as Poor.
-
Review & activate.
How verification works day-to-day
- Stage trigger: When a candidate is moved to your configured pipeline stage, Nametag automatically launches verification. The candidate receives a branded link, completes ID + liveness, and the result is written back as a Grade on the candidate card.
- Manual order: From inside TalentLyft, order the Nametag Identity Verification assessment on a candidate when you don’t want to wait for a stage change.

Troubleshooting
- Card not visible under Add Integration: the feature isn’t enabled for your org yet — contact Nametag.
- Results not appearing: confirm the connection shows Connected; re-check your Access Token; ensure the trigger stage matches your pipeline.
- Webhook issues: TalentLyft suspends a subscription after 50 cumulative delivery failures — reconnect to re-create it.
