Role Overview
As the Finance and Accounting Manager, you will own critical accounting processes, support FP&A activities, and collaborate across teams to improve operations as our business grows. You’ll be a trusted partner to multiple stakeholders, leveraging your skills and intellectual curiosity to make meaningful contributions to Nametag’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Month-End Close Cycle:
- Manage the month-end close process, including preparation of general journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly analytics.
- Oversee month-end accrual processes for all functional areas, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Accounting and Controls:
- Own specific close processes and implement accounting controls to achieve a GAAP-compliant close.
- Research and apply revenue accounting principles to complex transactions.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and policies across the organization.
- Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):
- Provide support for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Deliver actionable insights to stakeholders through financial analytics.
- Cross-Functional Support:
- Collaborate with stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and other areas to provide accounting and finance support.
- Partner with teams to implement and maintain scalable processes, policies, and controls.
- Audit and Compliance:
- Support internal and external audits by preparing key information and documentation.
- Maintain relationships with third-party payroll providers and public accounting firms.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously improve finance and accounting processes to support scalability as the company grows.
- Assist with ERP and other system implementations to enhance operational efficiency.
- Special Projects:
- Lead or participate in ad hoc projects to support the evolving needs of the business.

Qualifications:
- Experience: 4+ years of accounting experience, including month/year-end close, financial statement preparation, and reconciliations.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- SaaS Experience: Experience in a SaaS company is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUPs).
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Flexibility: Ability to work across different time zones with team members in various locations.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary: $90,000 - $110,000
