Nametag sends MFA and password resets to self-service while protecting your helpdesk against social engineering.

2022 has been a big year for Nametag. We've launched a faster, more secure scanning experience, completely revamped our console experience, and made it easier than ever for our customers and their users to get started. Our commitment to be the only ID verification platform to stop digital manipulation without requiring an app download has proven to be a valuable differentiator in the space. We're seeing companies save support rep time and cut down on account takeovers and transaction authorization fraud by significant margins. End users, too, are happier than ever.

As Nametag matures, however, it has become increasingly clear that it deserves a brand to match. Our customers tell us what they want from the Nametag experience, and it requires striking a perfect balance between confidence and subtlety. Our brand, as it presents itself, often lives within our customers' user flows. They often use the Nametag brand to convey that a trusted third party is guarding their end-users' data and ensuring a safe transaction.

ID scanning does not innately communicate trust. Nametag does.

With this in mind, we're excited to share the new Nametag with you all. In a world with fraud, bot accounts, and misrepresented identities on the rise, we feel that we're more 'Nametag' than ever. Our mission is to bring authenticity to the internet and enable people to build more trusted relationships. Our new symbol, the Nametag, brings that vision to life. It depicts a corporate, vertically-oriented Nametag.

The old and the new.

Usage guidelines for our new symbol.

The new Nametag in action

So why stray from the typical, 'hello my name is' type of nametag? Interestingly, our research found that while the classic red-bar stickers are seen as rushed and chaotic, vertically-oriented nametags (typically used in corporate settings) are seen as a mark of verification. With these nametags, there's no need to write your name

It's a digital version of the physical ID you already have.

The verification happens in the background, and only the relevant information (typically your name and company) is on display.

The traditional nametag against the sleek, verified nametag

The Nametag utilizes common geometry to combine this corporate Nametag with three other symbols we believe are core to our brand. The mobile phone, marked by the early-smartphone-era notch at the top, communicates that mobile technology is at the core of our anti-fraud scanning and seamless user experience. The person, most importantly, marks the individuality and online authenticity that Nametag enables. The lock, in turn, asserts that security and privacy are at their best to keep this individuality in place.
