Workforce Identity Verification

Prevent breaches and reduce IT support costs with ready-to-use solutions built on Deepfake Defense™ identity verification and turnkey IAM integrations.

Today we’re delighted to share that Nametag is an Honorable Mention in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Identity Verification for the second time in a row. We believe that, once again, Nametag stands out as the only identity verification provider:

  • Which is capable of delivering the level of assurance required for high-risk workforce scenarios, thanks to patented technologies and features like cryptographic data validation baked into our Deepfake Defense™ engine.
  • Which offers the range of ready-to-use, hosted solutions and integrations for workforce use cases which enterprise IT and security teams need to realize immediate security benefits and savings without adding undue complication.
  • Which is laser-focused on delivering innovative workforce identity verification that work in the real world, including in-depth support for complex privacy requirements for some of the world’s largest global enterprises.

Deepfake Defenses Are Key in the Age of GenAI

The rise of high-quality deepfakes has fundamentally changed the game for identity verification.

Cybercriminals and nation state-backed APT actors have successfully weaponized generative AI. Against a backdrop of helpdesk social engineering attacks and North Korean IT workers, IT and security leaders are looking to identity verification as the best way to reliably authenticate the people enrolling credentials, resetting credentials, and accessing enterprise applications.

But, as our CEO Aaron Painter wrote last year, “By the time you detect a deepfake, it’s already too late.” Whilst other vendors are locked in an “AI arms race” of Injection Attack Detection (IAD) and Presentation Attack Detection (PAD), Nametag uses cryptographic data protections to block injection attacks and prevent the use of deepfakes in the first place. These protections are only available on mobile devices and are not available in web browsers, and, therefore, are only available to Nametag.

Workforce Identity Verification Requires Workforce Integrations, Privacy Controls, and Deployment Options

Workforce identity verification is a fundamentally different set of problems than consumer identity verification. For example, while Know Your Customer (KYC) checks are typically a one-and-done matter, workforce users must verify and reverify themselves repeatedly. In addition, onboarding and account recovery use cases require secure integrations with identity directories in order to function.

Nametag leads the way with a wide range of workforce integrations to cloud and on-premises IAM, ITSM, SIEM and other tools, including Microsoft Entra and Active Directory, Cisco Duo, Okta, Beyond Identity, OneLogin, ServiceNow, Zendesk, Crowdstrike, Splunk and others.

Meanwhile, Nametag is uniquely positioned to support complex enterprise deployments and privacy requirements thanks to features such as Enterprise Data Custody (bring-your-own-storage for PII), customizable residency mapping, configurable retention policies, and the fact that we do not store biometric data.

Finally, Nametag’s solutions can literally be deployed in under 10 minutes. This is true of our helpdesk verification solution, as well as our secure onboarding and self-service account recovery solutions.

Rather than spending countless hours in painful development, IAM and cybersecurity teams can immediately start seeing the account protection and operational cost savings benefits that come with Nametag.
